Man to face trial over assault on Gippsland elderly couple


An image Victoria Police have released of the elderly couple.

A man accused of breaking into an elderly couple’s Delburn home, tying them up and hitting them with a weapon, will appear in court later this month. 

Police have apprehended one of two alleged suspects involved in the Gippsland home invasion.

Mr Findlay, from Churchill, is facing over 200 charges including aggravated burglary and false imprisonment.

He was arrested on Wednesday after police conducted a thorough search of his property.

He has made no application for bail and will return to court later this month.

Mr Findlay’s accomplice is yet to be identified.
