One of Drouin’s most recognisable Anzac Day traditions will not go ahead after almost 20 years.

Former solider Roger Dunmore, who dressed in a Light Horse brigade uniform, led Drouin’s Anzac Day march along Princes Way on top of his horse CC.

However, Mr Dunmore and his horse CC died a few months apart from each other last year.

Drouin’s RSL sub-branch plans to mount a permanent recognition of the rider and horse in its clubrooms to mark their contribution to the local Anzac Day ceremonies.
