A teenage driver has died in hospital after colliding into a tree off the Princes Highway on the weekend.
The 18 year old Maryknoll woman was driving east on Princes Highway in Longwarry when she crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into a tree.
Local police were called to the single vehicle crash at 5pm on Sunday.
The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died yesterday afternoon.
The death of the Maryknoll woman is the fourth death to occur on Victorian roads in just 24 hours.
